This week in Maths we have been having lots of fun with Numicon to help us with our addition problems. Some of us enjoyed finding the appropriate shapes in the sensory tub to help us with our calculations, whilst some of us have been ordering numbers on the computer and solving addition problems with the column method. We also managed to do some Numicon bingo which we really like!
In English we have continued with our phonics, written a tornado shape poem, performed a weather poem and have now started to identify features of newspapers ready for when we right our own.
In Music we used different musical instruments to coincide with a graphic score, to emulate the story of a sunny day to a rainy day. We also have made our own different weathers in a bottle, including a tornado, blizzard and rainstorm. To support our learning on solids and liquids we made jelly and ice cream in a bag. It was delicious! In RE we have been learning about different faiths and decorated our own gingerbread men to show how they belong to different faiths.
