20 Nov 2018

As part of our RE lessons on The Salvation Army, 8G visited The Salvation Army Church in Wigan on the morning of Tuesday 20th November. On arrival we were greeted by Mark and Alison who talked to us about The Salvation Army. They told us more about the founders of The Salvation Army , William and Catherine Booth and how The Salvation Army help people today. We all had a questioned to ask, such as "Why do people join the Salvation Army?" and "What kinds of songs do The Salvation Army sing?". We were also given the opportunity to try on a Salvation Army uniform and play Mark's brass musical instrument. We concluded the session with a drink and a biscuit ,with us remembering to use our manners. We had a great morning!
