As you may have heard, from September 2020 it will be compulsory for all schools to cover Health Education, primary schools to cover Relationships Education, and secondary schools to cover Relationships and Sex Education (https://www.gov.uk/government/news/relationships-education-relationships-and-sex-education-rse-and-health-education-faqs ). Today, our PSHE Subject Leader Miss Miller attended a fantasic course ran by Reachout ASC to learn more about teaching Relationships and Sex Education to pupils with ASC. Lynn McCann presented research findings and resources that could be used to help us develop our curriculum. There will be lots of work done over the next academic year to prepare for the changes to our PSHE curriculum that will be needed to meet the new requirements. We will be consulting with staff, parents and pupils to develop a meaningful and appropriate curriculum for all.
