Welcome to our Computing curriculum page.

Take a look at all the fantastic teaching and learning that happens across the different key stages in Computing. You will see how each child is immersed in learning and the broad range of topics covered.

Computing is a foundation subject within the National Curriculum. The aims of the subject are:

  • to understand Computing and it’s importance and relevance to today’s world;

  • to enable children to develop Computing as a tool for learning and investigation in all subject areas and in a range different contexts;

  • to enable children to be confident about using a range of hardware and software in order to equip them with the confidence and capability to use Computing throughout their education, home and further work life;

  • to ensure pupils know how to stay safe online; and finally to stimulate, develop interest and understanding of new technologies.

We are very lucky to have a great range of resources to support pupil’s progression in Computing, such resources include iPad’s, laptops, bluebots, micro:bits, a green screen and many more.

We also have a wide array of apps that we use to support pupils within lessons and I think you’ll agree by looking at the computing blog that our pupil’s embrace all of the resources provided to them.

Below are the most recent activities that have taken place across school. To see the full list please click on the 'Related Blog' title.
