On Tuesday 19th November, Astley Park School will be celebrating International Men’s Day.

 

International Men's Day is a global awareness day, for many issues that men around the world face. It is celebrated annually on the 19th November.

 

International Men's Day is a day to:

  • Recognise and celebrate the positive contributions men make to society, families and the environment
  • Raise awareness of men's health and well-being
  • Highlight positive role models

  • Talk about and breakdown stereotypes 

  • Promote gender equality by tackling discrimination and disadvantage

 

The theme for International Men’s Day 2024 is "Positive Male Role Models"

 

Learners around school will be invited to participate in activities where they will encounter, explore and learn about positive male role models who have impacted their personal history or the wider history of the world.
