Welcome to our Foreign Languages curriculum page.
Have a look at the learning moments we have captured whilst our pupils have been engaged in learning about the French language and culture. Our pupils start to experience French in Oak class and continue their learning through to the end of Year 9.
The aims of the subject are to:
-
Understand and respond to spoken and written language
-
Speak or use other forms of communication to communicate what they want to say
-
Can write some words or phrases in the target language or select appropriate words from a selection
-
Discover and develop an appreciation for another culture
We have a range of interactive and sensory resources to help support and spark pupils’ interest in their learning including microphones, games, recording devices, iPad apps, puppets and books.
We hope that you enjoy taking a look at our class blogs to see some of the activities that our pupils experience.
