The week beginning 11th May is Mental Health Awareness Week.
The theme this year is "action": taking action for yourself, for someone else and for all of us by supporting yourself and others with their mental health.
The children will be learning about mental health and the importance of looking after our mental health through various activities, including:
-
mindfulness activities
-
discussing things that make them happy
-
learning about how they can unwind
-
discussing people that they trust to support them with their mental health
-
learning about the 'cup of positivity'
-
learning about self-esteem
-
how to promote positive mental health
The activities will be adapted by teaching staff to suit the children's differentiated ability levels.
Please talk to your child at home about what they've learnt at school to promote Mental Health Week further.
Always take care of your mind 🙂 ,
