Summary
Our Senior Leadership Team and Governors are seeking to appoint Level 1 Teaching Assistants to support children's learning within our outstanding school and to join our hard working, skilful and dynamic staff team. We are seeking individuals who are knowledgeable, hardworking, enthusiastic and caring.  Previous experience of working in a special needs setting is not essential as we are looking for individuals passionate about working with children and are willing to support our vision.  Staff will be required to work with a high degree of flexibility and work will involve working alongside the class team, small groups and on a one to one basis. Astley Park offers many opportunities, training and development for all staff and this position has the potential to lead to further employment within the school.  The role is term time only plus 5 INSET day.

Summary
The Headteacher and Governors of Astley Park School are looking to appoint a number of Welfare Assistants to join our team to ensure the safety, welfare and good conduct of our pupils during the lunch break period. Hours of work will be 11.30 am to 1.30 pm Monday to Friday (Term Time only). We would love to hear from you if you are a positive, friendly and hardworking person who enjoys working with children.

The successful candidates will:
  • Supervise pupils, supporting and promoting positive lunch times
  • Keep our young pupils safe
  • Deal with accidents or incidents during lunch time or on the playground areas
