Are you a passionate, resilient and creative teacher looking to make a genuine impact to the lives of pupils with complex learning needs?   At Astley Park we are a supportive and forward thinking special school committed to providing exceptional education for children and young people with a wide range of complex learning needs.  We are seeking a dedicated temporary class teacher to join our team to cover the maternity leave of the postholder.  You will work collaboratively with skilled support staff to create a nurturing and stimulating environment tailored to individual needs.

  We are looking for someone who:
   
• Is passionate about inclusive education and pupil progress
• Has experience (or a strong interest) in working with pupils with SEN
• Can deliver creative, personalised and multi sensory learning.
• Can work collaboratively with staff, families and external professionals Rehabilitation
• The post you are applying for is covered by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (as amended in 2013).

• Evidence of CPD - SEND/curricular

Essential Experience

• Experience of teaching pupils with a range of SEND within a primary or special school setting
• Working knowledge of assessment procedures and ability to analyse and utilise data to support progress to raise achievement
• Excellent ICT skills
• Experience of leading a subject, long term project or initiative
• Experience of multi-disciplinary working
• Experience and confidence in managing pupils whose behaviour can be challenging
