It’s Christmas time in 10R and we’ve had a very busy week! This week we’ve been doing lots of different Christmas crafts, including making our own snowman out of pom-poms and making different ornaments for our Christmas trees. We also had our secondary Christmas spectacular that we have been doing lots of practice for and everyone had a great time and the performance was wonderful. We've been listening to lots of Christmas music in class (no more Santa Claus is Coming to Town, much to everyone's relief), and getting into the festive spirit.
This week we also celebrated International Migrants Day, where we learnt about what a migrant is and why it is important to understand why people migrate and how some migrants may need help when they move to a new country. We had some great discussions about how to help different people and we learnt lots of new things!
On Friday, we had our Christmas party, where we had pizza and music and we also played lots of party games like musical chairs, pass the parcel, play your cards right and, a new class favourite, Pong. There was lots of chocolate won (and eaten) and everyone was ready for a well deserved break.
Merry Christmas 10R!
Mrs Powell, Mrs Woods and Miss Carter.
