What a year in 10R! We've been busy, busy all year and this last week has been no different! On Monday we had our first transition session with Mr Murphy where he talked about what we would be doing when we got back in September and what he expects of us in year 11. In the afternoon we had our last science lesson with Miss Troughton where finished off our topic of states of matter and we even managed to fit in some dancing.
On Tuesday we had Lego therapy and we did shared reading in the morning and in the afternoon we did some maths challenges where we had to do maths problems to solve the mystery!
On Wednesday morning we had Mr Murphy again and we talked all about what we have enjoyed about in year 10 and what our favourite things were. We then had some ICT practice where we typed up on word what we had talked about. It was nice in the afternoon so we went up to Rivington again and walked up to the Pigeon Tower and then on to the base of Rivington Pike. It was a big walk but everyone made it up to the top and there was only minimal complaining!
Thursday morning brought on a boot camp with 10G where we had lots of different activities to complete, including sit ups, sprints, dribbling a football and lots more. In the afternoon we had another end of term treat at Masa's ice cream shop in Chorley, where we got to enjoy a nice treat as a class.
The last day of the week was our last swimming session before summer at Hindley swimming pool. Everyone was super tired but put in all their effort and did a really good job! When we got back and had our lunch we had a chill afternoon with golden time and we all enjoyed another ice-cream treat courtesy of Mr Welsh! A massive well done to our star of the week Chloe and to all of our learners who have had such a busy year but have smashed it out of the park.
We hope everyone has a lovely summer and stays safe! We can't wait to see you all back in September!
Mrs Powell, Mr Murphy, Mrs Woods and Miss Carter.
