What a fantastic week we’ve had in 10A! Our annual Sports Week has been another incredible success, and we’ve all done amazing work this week. We’ve worked as a team, tried our hardest and each and every single one of our learners should be immensely proud of themselves for the dedication and effort they’ve put into every activity we’ve taken part in.
On Monday we had MultiSkills in the morning, followed by Cricket and Balloon Tennis in the afternoon. In MultiSkills we tried out different activities which enabled us to practice our balance, throwing and kicking, and in Cricket we discovered that we have a number of budding Joe Roots and Heather Knights in our class.
Tuesday saw us take part in African Dance and Yoga in the morning, with the class deciding that Mr Matthews was the best dancer out of the staff that took part and in Yoga we discovered new ways to regulate ourselves. In the afternoon we played Mini Golf, and challenged ourselves to nine holes of challenging obstacles.
Ultimate Frisbee was our sporting activity on Wednesday Morning, and a lot of our learners can launch a frisbee a surprisingly long distance! We had Sports Day on Wednesday Afternoon and it was fantastic to see as many parents, relatives and caregivers as we did during the afternoon. As you’d agree our learners did themselves proud with how well they took part in the different Sports Day activities culminating in our Relay Races.
There were no sporting activities on Thursday as we went to Wood End Farm, please see our separate blog for Wood End Farm, but on Friday we took part in Mini Fun Runs on an inflatable obstacle course and we were fortunate enough to be able to do this twice during our morning before we had our Sports Week Assembly in the afternoon, during which each of our learners earned a certificate to celebrate their achievements during the week!
