Year 7 have had a fantastic start to our stay at Bendrigg. The fun began back in sunny Chorley when we realised that our coach had rows of 3 seats together, like a plane! We had a smooth journey up to Bendrigg, and there was lots of excited chatter on the coach. When we arrived we were introduced to one of our group leaders, who showed us to our rooms. Our first job was making the beds! Everyone had a good go at doing this and there was some teamwork from 7A pupils, who made sure that everyone had their beds made.

Our first lunch was jacket potato, which gave us lots of energy for our first activities. 7A boys started with the swing, where they were raised up in a harness and swung as high as they wanted. Each person chose a song to be played as they had their turn. The boys then had a session on the bikes. We really enjoyed trying out KMX carts around the track. These were new to a lot of us and they were really fun!

7A girls started off with indoor caving. We ventured into the indoor caves and geared up with helmets and headtorches, we all found it really fun and we all gave it a really good go. After caving we had a quick drinks break then headed over to the big swing.

We had a bit of time to relax and explore the lodge after this, then we had pizza and chips for our evening meal followed by banana split.

For our evening activity we enjoyed the enormous tube slide then had some time to play in the grounds. Everyone then had a shower before bed.

We are excited for tomorrow’s activities!
