Welcome to Bendrigg 10P! We’ve had a very busy first day today. We set off from school nice and early at 10 and arrived at Bendrigg just after 11. When we got here we brought all our suitcases inside and found our rooms. Then it was time for a first challenge… making our own beds! Everyone had a good go and after a little bit of help from staff we were all moved in for the week. We also went to the lounge to meet our leader for the week, Jenny, who was going to be with us on all our activities.
It was then time for lunch, where we joined 10A for some jacket potatoes and sandwiches to fuel up for a busy afternoon. Our first activity was the big tube slide. Everyone was really brave and even though some of us were a bit nervous we all had a go and everyone said it was really fun. After a play on the park we headed back into the lodge for a hot chocolate before our next activity; the indoor caves.
We headed on down and Jenny explained to us that we would all need a helmet on to keep us safe and that we all had a torch so we’d be able to see where we were going. Some of us were a little bit scared to go on but after some encouragement everyone had a fab time! We had a big game of hide and seek and Miss Leafe did some super hiding and was the winner!
We had a little bit of chill time before tea, going to the lounge to have a relax and play some games before sitting down for food. Tonight it was spaghetti bolognese which everyone said was delicious. After tea we went over to the sports hall to play some games and relax in the sensory room.
Just before getting ready for bed we met up with Jenny again to talk about what kind of things we would need to take on our expedition and everyone gave some super suggestions.
We all went for a shower and had a little bit of chill time in the lounge and then it was time for bed! We had lots of tired learners tonight so here’s hoping for a good nights sleep!
