Today we started our ASDAN work at Chorley In Bloom which will see us focus on Community Action and how we can help to assist the local community.
After travelling to where Chorley In Bloom have their community garden, we sat and listened to Denise and Jill as they explained how to keep ourselves safe whilst working in the garden. Then we donned gloves and overalls before getting to work.
Some of us went round the garden pruning Daffodils, and others helped to dig through a garden bed. Everyone worked hard, as you’ll see from the photos, and we all supported each other. By the end of our time at Chorley In Bloom there were a fair few pupils, and some of the staff, who were very tired having worked so hard.
We’ll be going back to Chorley In Bloom next week for more Community Action.
