
On Monday, we split into our groups for maths. One group worked on converting units of time, one group looked comparing mass, and the other group looked at comparing volume and capacity. After break, we had English, we did a practice writing paper. Then we did a practice reading paper! This afternoon we did science. The learners who didn't get to present their work on power stations were able to present to the class. After this we went outside and continued weeding the area near our classroom. We watered the strawberries and tomato’s that we planted last week. Then we planted some potatoes!
On Tuesday, we got into our maths groups and completed our work. After this, we had English, in English we split into groups and did some speaking and listening activities. In the afternoon, we split into 2 groups, half of us did gardening and the other half baked some flapjacks for our year 11 enterprise.
On Wednesday morning we did some problem solving in maths. After this we did some speaking and listening again. We asked each other different questions and had conversations. After lunch time we had our KS4 options.
On Thursday, morning we did picture news. This weeks question was “what is the best way to support people who need extra help?” We spoke about why people might need extra help. This weeks story was about new AI-supported glasses to support people with dementia or memory problems. Then we finished off our ASDAN work. In the afternoon we had golden time and celebration assembly. This weeks star of the week is Jake, for his independent travel this week, well done Jake!
