On Monday we had our writing exams. After this, we played some social games and had some social time. In the afternoon we had some more social time after a busy morning doing our tests!
On Tuesday, we had our reading tests. After this we had some social time, we played games and did some colouring. Well done 11A on your exams. In the afternoon we made school cake for our year 11 enterprise.
On Wednesday we did some maths problem solving. After this we had some social time.
On Thursday we started with picture news. This weeks question was “Do we learn more from winning or losing”. We had a group discussion about this and there were different answers. We said that losing can help us learn how to do better next time and helps us deal with the feelings that come with losing. We also said that winning gives us confidence. We spoke about good sportsmanship, what it is and some examples of it. Our task was to play some of the games with have in class and thought about who’s winning, who’s losing and how to demonstrate good sportsmanship. In the afternoon, we went to Tesco to buy things for our year 11 enterprise.
On Friday morning, we made breakfast butties for our staff, for year 11 enterprise. Then in the afternoon, we had well being time and some of us went bowling for our rewards trip. Then we had assembly, this weeks star of the week is Jospeh for dealing with a tricky situation in a mature way, well done Jospeh!
