Sharing Our Learning in 8P
Last Tuesday (23rd June) and this Thursday (2nd July), 8P held our Sharing Our Learningsessions. Thank you to everyone who was able to come along. We appreciate how busy life can be, and it was wonderful to see so many of you there.
To begin our session, Miss Robertson became a robot! The learners had to give her clear, detailed verbal instructions on how to make a sandwich. They needed to ensure they mentioned all of the equipment she would need and used directional language, including words such as on top and underneath. As you can imagine, things became a little messy, with jam ending up all over Miss Robertson's hands!
After this, the learners took part in three carousel activities:
• Instruction Sequencing and Sandwich Making – Learners cut out and ordered the instructions for making a sandwich before following them to make their own.
• Cupcake Making – Learners followed instructions to make cupcakes, including cracking eggs and measuring ingredients.
• Fine Motor Skills Activities – Learners practised their fine motor skills through peg pattern activities and threading tasks.
We hope you enjoyed spending time with us and that these photos help give you an insight into the fantastic learning taking place in 8P.
