What a busy two weeks we have had exploring the zoo.
Last week we explored playdoh animals, lion faces made with cereal, silhouette animals and read the dear zoo story. We also enjoyed the sunshine and made the most of water play and eating lots of ice lollies! This week we sang 5 little monkeys, made collage Elmer’s, made animal footprints and stomped like elephants!
Our learning intentions this week have been moving and handling and physical and sensory. We have all followed individualised timetables to support our regulation across different environments. We all engaged well and some of us are becoming much more confident in following the schedules independently to get us ready to learn.
For our moving and handling targets, we continued to develop our fine and gross motor skills. We enjoyed climbing, the balance bikes, walks around the track and obstacle courses in the outdoor area. For our fine motor, we engaged in lots of playdoh fun, mark marking and cutting and sticking activities. Some of us were then challenged to trace letters, engage in pencil control and had to listen to our phonics sounds and write them. Well done everyone!
