This half term our topic has been transport, we have been exploring different modes of transport through our continuous provision, we have been making marks in paint, flour and shaving foam with different types of transport, we have been building the train track and showing very good sharing and turn taking skills with our peers.

During our lessons we have been using good communication skills to make comments and requests, using our PECs, communication boards and vocalising.

And this week during Attention Autism, firstly we did a transport themed bucket with exciting toys inside to interest us. Next we watched as Miss Brown mixed shaving foam and paint together before adding a car shape to the foam to make the shape. Stage 3 of our Attention Autism was a car slide, first Miss Brown modelled pushing the car down the ramp before encouraging each of the children to take turns to have a go. As everybody had a turn of the car ramp, Miss Brown sang “five little cars in the garage shop” to the tune of five current buns. We have had a super first half term back in school.
