8A represented Astley Park in the Chorley High School Bowling competition this week. The event was organised by Chorley Sports Partnership and was held at Escape Entertainment Chorley. We were put into 2 teams and took over lanes 5 and 6. Our Team Managers were Mr Crew and Mrs Devlin, who aren’t competitive at all, but Mrs Devlin did get a little over excited when Teegan in her team scored a strike!
We had to record how many strikes and spares each pupil got as well as their individual scores. When the final scores were given to the official adjudicator we were all excited to find out the results.
Gemma received an award for the highest score in our teams and Joseph received an award for the highest strikes and spares of the competition. Everyone received a medal and certificate at the presentation. The young people represented Astley Park impeccably. I think bowling will be a popular sport for the young people after this competition. What a fantastic event this was. Thank you Chorley Sports Partnership for organising this event.
