Welcome back to Year 11! I can't actually believe that we have started the final year at APS!
We had a nice, chilled start to the week, spending time catching up with friends, and talking about what we got up to over the summer. We also received our new 'Leavers 26' hoodies (which look very smart!) and spent our first lunchtime in about 5 years in the hall with the rest of the secondary classes. It was a huge success and a nice experience for those of us who are new to it!
We are continuing with Chorley in Bloom this term, which gives us a chance to see all the things we planted before the summer actually grow. We helped to organise the seeds that CIB have been kindly donated from Tesco, looking at when they can been planted in the upcoming seasons and sorting them into groups. We also planted a few different seeds, including pak choi and poppies.
Our enterprise has also restarted this term, making our breakfast butties on a Friday morning to raise money for prom, so we visited Tesco on Thursday to do our shopping. When Friday morning came, we slipped back into the roles and routine we were so used to, when making the breakfast butties.
On Friday afternoons, we now have Ms Wells coming in to do some work with us, and the word on the street is she has put in an order for foot spa's to support the classes wellbeing and create a 'spa-like' environment! What a way to end the week!!
**Star of the week** this week is Jake, for engaging in more conversations with his friends, asking questions and responding! Well done Jake!
