This week we visited the St Catherine’s Hospice charity shop as part of our real life superheroes topic. We met some of the staff and they were kind enough to show us around and tell us about what they do. We learnt that money from the sale of donations helps to provide care to people who are dying. The money helps to keep people comfortable at the end of their lives. We think St Catherine’s Hospice are definitely real life superheroes.

On Friday Mrs Lane’s grandson Rico came to visit. Rico came to visit us in Year 8 as part of our human development topic, so it was wonderful to welcome him back to see us in Year 9 to see the progress he had made. He watched everyone making a tower of spaghetti and marshmallows as part of a Thrive Challenge. We had some fantastic creations. The learners displayed fantastic attitudes, showing determination and resilience.
