On the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, 11R remained silent for two minutes to remember those who have died, or fought, or lost loved ones whether serving in the armed forces or as civilians, as part of conflict to protect our democratic freedoms.
We were proud of 11R’s mature approach to our presentation and discussions about the reasons for being silent and then it was quite emotional at the end of the 2 minutes as the whole class observed the silence.
Each member of the class then demonstrated their understanding through their creative work or their writing. It was again quite emotional to read some of the sentences produced.
Great work 11R!

My grandad we're in the war so I respect the men who fought in it and I enjoyed the lesson
