We've had a crazy busy few weeks in 8A these last few weeks.
Last week, Megan had the brilliant idea that we could all take part in a Secret Santa; everyone chose a name out of a hat and then they needed to buy their "secret" friend a present. Mrs Crouch suggested we could all go into town to purchase our presents, meaning we got the opportunity to practice our road safety skills as well as shopping skills too.
Before we went into town, we all completed a sheet to give our secret friend some ideas on what things we like- something we like to eat, something we like to drink, what we like to watch or play or listen to.
Throughout the week we split into small groups to go shopping.
Once we had all purchased our items, it was time to wrap them! Much trickier than it looks! Everyone had a really good go at wrapping (assisted by Mrs England).
On Wednesday afternoon, it was our class Christmas party. We took it in turns to make our own sandwiches and helped ourselves to the large selection of party food. We all helped to decorate our classroom with Christmas decorations and then it was time for some games! Owen G won musical chairs, Connor won musical statues and Josh won the Kahoot quiz. Well done!
Finally, it was time to exchange our Secret Santa presents. Mrs Taylor handed them out and then we took it in turns to open them. Everyone did a really good job of buying something that their secret friend would like and it was thumbs up all round.
