To celebrate Chinese New Year class started by learning about the legend of the monster named Nina who would attack the villagers. The monster was afraid of loud noises, bright lights and the colour red. We discovered this is why fireworks and dragons play a huge part in celebrations of today.
To play our own part in the celebrations we used art and craft skills and made some red lanterns that can often be seen in China. Later we decided to try some noodles, and we had a go at eating them with chopsticks. We couldn’t believe how tricky it was, although it was fun having a go!
