Today 8A have been learning about epilepsy. We learnt what tonic/clinic seizures, absence seizures and focal seizures look like and talked about how we can help people who are experiencing seizures. We took part in a short first aid session where we learnt how we can keep somebody safe if they have a tonic/clonic seizure by trying to find an adult, removing an audience moving items out of the way so that the patient doesn’t hurt themselves, and cushioning the patients head with something soft, as well as calling 999 for support from the ambulance. Everybody did fantastic listening. Well done 8A!
