What a lovely week of festivities for Willow class!
We started the week with an amazing trip to Barton Grange garden centre to look at the Christmas decorations. As part of our RE topic of Festivals and celebrations we have started work to learn about the Christian celebrations of Christmas. We have learned about the origin story and looked at the different ways people celebrate this around the world from what they eat, where they go and how they decorate. In Barton Grange we got to look at lots of different decorations and even some strange garden sculptures of yetis and dinosaurs!
On Wednesday we had a lovely Christmas Dinner then Thursday we had a Christmas party lunch and party. The children had worked so hard to raise extra money for special treats at their party afternoon through their enterprise project. The children managed to raise £54, well thank you to all parents and staff who supported us by buying a box!
