Wow what a busy week we have had! We finished exploring the farm by sheering sheep, exploring the nursery rhyme ‘5 little ducks and enjoyed making a scarecrow.
We then moved onto exploring the beach. We used the communication board to say what we could see at the beach and enjoyed making sandcastles. We also painted pictures using sea stamps and sand.
Our main areas of focus this week have been cognition and learning, listening and attention and moving and handling. We have all engaged in motivating activities to sustain our attention, sang a range of nursery rhymes and engaged in physical activities to support our gross motor skills. We played lots of throwing and catching games, explored the bikes and used the communication board to run fast and slow whilst negotiating space well.
On Thursday, we celebrated world book day. We explored the three little pigs story tray, little red riding hood, the tiger who came to tea and the singing mermaid. We love seeing others costumes and reading one another’s books.
