Our focus was limiting time on the PC / ipad.
We always use our ipads with " Now and Next" visuals and a sand timer to establish good practice.
This encourages pupils to play for a limited time and to understand when ipad is finished.
All week in Beech Class we have celebrated Chinese New Year.
We explored many sensory experiences with rice, noodles and sand using chopsticks to pick things up.
Along with our Numicon, we counted items and looked at the Chinese symbol for the number.

At Puddletown Pirates we had great fun improving our moving and handling skills.
We moved in different ways - climbing, wriggling, sliding and stretching.
A great time was had by all!
Beech Class explored Christianity in World Religion Week.
We read the story of Noah's Ark and had great fun counting the animals in 2-by-2.
We then printed a rainbow and animals onto a picture of the ark.
On Wednesday we ventured into town to look at Churches and found 3!

The team have been busy getting ready for the Pirates landing this term as Beech and Chestnut Classes explore their topic "Pirates".
We will be visiting Puddletown Pirates and Lytham beach.

Beech and Chestnut class have been creating poppy pictures to remember 100 years since the end of WW1.
Beech and Chestnut celebrated Diwali. We looked at and created our own Mendhi hand patterns and lanterns.

In PE this half term we have been playing colour games. Some of the games are finding colourful spots, finding coloured cones and sorting them, jumping onto coloured spots and using colourful material to make large movements in the air!
