This half term our topic in sycamore class is sail the seven seas. We have loved exploring different lessons based on our theme.
These have included;
Sensory stories
- Pirates love underpants
- Under the sea
In the stories we got to explore many different materials and objects such as walking the plank, an umbrella jelly fish and the sea coral sensory materials.
Attention autism sessions
Design Technology- we made our own moving fish using split pins.
Art- We have began to design our own pirate ship flags.
Miss Baker planned us a pirate treasure hunt, we had super fun collecting all our treasure around school and then sticking it all into our own treasure chest! We then did a fun pirate themed yoga session.
We have also done lots of worksheets and activities based on our theme including making jelly fish and sea creature collages.
We have also be learning about our lefts and rights, more and less & different sounds in phonics.
