Today 10P joined 10A on a lovely trip to Wood End Farm.
We all spent time meeting and brushing the lovely pigs, although some of us found it scary at first it was lovely to see the learners overcoming this fear.
Next we went to see the goats and we fed them some carrots. After this we petted some very friendly sheep and had a look at some of the farm vehicles, such as a tractor and a quad bike. We even got to practice milking a cow, on a plastic one of course!
To finish the day, after lunch, we got to engage with an alpaca walk. First we listened to the rules and understood that alpacas don’t like to be stroked on their backs, bottoms or heads, and we must be careful behind them as they might kick. Then we took it in turns to hold the alpacas on their leads.
Such a wonderful day. Well done year 10!
