On Wednesday 8th March we will be holding our very own Holi Colour Festival.

Holi is a two-day festival celebrated all over the world, it originated in India. On the first day, people gather around a bonfire and celebrate good triumphing over evil and light over darkness. It is the second day we will be celebrating when coloured powder is thrown. Holi is also known as the festival of love as it celebrates the love between the Hindu God's Krishna and Radha.

We will begin by creating a colour cloud before pupils embark on a colour journey around the track. There will be multiple colour stations:

Red - Love

Blue - Krishna

Yellow - Turmeric

Green - Spring

Pupils will be provided with colour powder to participate and sunglasses. We ask that they bring a change of clothes they do not mind being 'colourful' after the event. White tee shirts would be most effective.

All the powder used is certified as safe and non-toxic, the powders are not dangerous for your skin. The colour will disappear from hair by washing once or twice. Colour can stick to dyed or blonde hair, we recommend wearing a hat if you are worried. Sunglasses will be provided to protect eyes!

Please keep your eyes peeled for Class Blogs after the event!
