On Friday 10th November, learners will be invited to celebrate Remembrance Day through a variety of activities appropriate to their learning pathway.

Remembrance Day is celebrated annually on 11th November and marks the day World War One ended - at 11am on the 11th day of the 11th month, back in 1918.

It is a key historic day where the nation comes together to remember and honour all those involved within the conflicts and those who fought to secure and protect our freedom.

Poppies are a symbol for the loss of life and suffering during war and people around the community wear poppies in the weeks leading up to Remembrance Day.

Poppies will be available to purchase from Year 11 in November. Please keep a look out for more information shared about them.
