This year Friendship Week 2025 (Anti-bullying Week) will take place from Monday 10th - Friday 14th November, with the theme 'Power For Good'. We will kick our Friendship Week off with Odd Socks Day on Monday 10th November, with both pupil's and staff taking part to celebrate what makes us all unique.
The theme of Power For Good has come about following consultation with teachers and pupils by the Anti-Bullying Alliance which coordinates Friendship Week (Anti-Bullying Week) every year in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. Teachers and children wanted a theme that empowered them to do something positive to counter the harm and hurt that bullying causes.
Across the week in our classes, we will be learning all about respect, friendship and why it's important to be kind to everyone. Classes will be talking about the different types of bullying, how bullying makes them feel and how they can stop it by speaking to a trusted adult. This year, we’ll empower children and young people to use their Power for Good to speak out, support others, and build a world where kindness wins.
Classes will be sharing what they have been doing throughout the week via their class blogs. Please look out for them!
