Make the pancake, flip the pancake, splat the pancake!
On monday we learnt all about why we celebrate pancake Day in our assembly and even had a taste of some pancakes! When we got back to class we all joined Miss Woods on the carpet as we took part in an attention autism, looking at what ingredients we need in order to make a pancake. Some of us then got to flip our pancake! Next a few of us got to decorate our pancake with our ‘ingredients’. We all then went off to our activities, we got to role play with pans, ‘eggs’ and flour, decorate our own pretend pancakes, and decorate our own eggs. In the afternoon we all cut and peeled fruit ready to put on our pancakes with chocolate spread. We all thought they were delicious! On Tuesday we watched Miss Cross doing an attention autism activity in which she splat the pancakes, we then all got to flip the pancakes in a pan. We then got to role play in a pancake kitchen, A few of us got to be the chefs and make the pancakes out of playdough that others were requesting from the menu. We were so lucky and got to make more pancakes in the afternoon with different ingredients!
