What a fantastic World Book Day!

7G amazed me in the morning with the variety of costumes - we had Puss in Boots , Where’s Wally, Elsa, a Shark, a Crocodile, Peter Rabbit, An old Lady, a Cow, a Pig and one of the three bears!

Our day was themed around the Julia Donaldson book A Squash and A Squeeze. We went through the story and that started the morning with a Kahoot! Quiz which we were amazing at answering!

After playtime we practiced constructing our sentences using colourful semantics and some of us built some beautiful sentences and wrote them down adding in any missing words! We also had a go at some farm animal playdough mats, some colouring and our tough tray which had our own version of the old lady’s house!

In the afternoon we were lucky enough to be treated to a production of a squash and a squeeze my some of the teachers. It was great to see the story come to life! Then we joined the World Book Day parade in the hall and showed off our costumes!

Well done 7G for all your super efforts!
