9G have had a lovely time celebrating the Holi Festival. It runs from the 9th to the 10th of March. We chose to wear the colour green which is the colour for peace and nature. We had a busy day getting ready to learn using our colourful playdough gym and reading through the story of Holika and Prahlad to learn all about why Hindu’s light a bonfire before the Holi Festival. We then looked at some videos of Hindu children celebrating the Holi festival and having fun throwing powdered paint at one another. We found that very funny and loved all the different colours. We then used some chalk and powder paint to make some lovely colourful art pieces. Then in the afternoon we enjoyed exploring the coloured lights in the sensory room and getting our engines to feel just right. What a great day 9G, well done!
