Hi Everyone,

This week’s blog comes in two parts; half term week, and then this week, which is week 10 of learning at home! I can’t believe it!

Half Term in 7G

Tyler

Tyler has been busy spending lots of time playing in the garden in the sun. Tyler has really enjoyed being able to go on his scooter and play with his little brother Jacob. Looks like so much fun Tyler!

Clayton

Clayton has been very busy in half term. He spent some time at Barnardo’s taking part in lots of outdoor play and has been making good choices. Clayton has also been out in the paddling pool -  learning how to balance and trying to surf. He has also been very good and has been using his manners. Well done Clayton!

Eshan

Eshan has had a great week and even camped in the garden with his dad and brother! He has done lots of playing, went for a walk on the canal and got an ice cream! Yummy! Eshan also helped mum by watering the plants. What a superstar!

Joshua

Joshua has had a busy week. He has done a little bit of work including making some fruit kebabs to sequence patterns. He also did the nature challenge with his dad! In addition to this, Joshua made a happiness jar with his family. Joshua has also spent lots of time outside in the lovely weather! He did some gardening, went on a walk with Mum and Colin and they had their lunch out. He took part in the mental health week nature walk again (well done Josh!) and found a stick and some other items! He also played some games, cleaned and played Wii bowling! A great week!

Jacob

Jacob has had a great half term! He went on lots of walks with his two sisters, Dad and Jen. He also built his own Harry Potter scarecrow which is ace! He looks like he has been having fun playing with his sisters and they even turned themselves into glow in the dark figures. That looks fun!

Katie

It was Katie’s birthday in the holidays. We hope you had a fab day Katie!

Miss Hendy

I had a very relaxing week. The weather was lovely! I did a lot of reading out in the sun, went on lots of walks with Tom, played a little bit of basketball and then had a big Chinese takeaway on Friday!

Miss McPartlin

Miss McPartlin also went on some lovely walks in her half term. Look at the pictures, they are beautiful! She had a BBQ and played in the garden with her little girl. It was also her nephew’s birthday, so she made him a card and some cupcakes!

Mrs Webb and Mrs Mahood

Mrs Webb and Mrs Mahood were very busy working in school helping to look after the children that are in school. They both had a very good week.

This Week

Firstly, I would like to say how lovely it was to see some of you when I dropped off your work this week. It was nice to see your smiley faces!

Secondly,  well done to Jacob taking part in the six-star challenge. A big well done to Joshua AND Eshan who have taken part in four of the activities. You will have to watch the Star of the Week Assembly to find out if you have a certificate!

Now, lets see what you have all been up to on the first week of our final half term!

Clayton

Clayton has been practicing his maths skills this week, by doing some colour by numbers, colour addition and counting in 2s. It has also been his Nan’s birthday this week, so he has been celebrating this! He has been very sensible as well, tidying up any mess that he made. Very responsible, well done Clayton!

Katie

Katie has been back in school for some of this week. She has been trying hard to sequence ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar’ and follow her in-task schedule. She also had a go at doing some very tricky addition using numicon shapes. This morning she has made a pizza as part of food technology! Well done Katie!

Eshan

Eshan has carried on doing lots of good work this week. Eshan has wrote some beautiful sentences about ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar’. He has also had a go at adding coins up to 10 as part of his “My Thinking and Problem-Solving” work. As well as all this, Eshan has been doing some of his work on education city too!

Jacob

Jacob has had a good week this week. He has been making a caterpillar out of paper chains, sorting food into a healthy lunch box and practicing putting the correct amount of money in jars. Jacob has also been really kind making drinks for his Mum and Stepdad and helping with lots of other jobs. Superstar!

Joshua

Joshua has been doing lots of great learning this week. He has been focusing on the story of ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar’, sequencing the story and making some sentences using colourful semantics. He has been practicing spelling words from Sounds Write. He also played shop with mum and practiced his recognition of coins. On top of all of this, he has been sorting food into food groups! Well done Joshua!

Harry

Harry has been at his dad's for a few days and has been working on recognising amounts of money! Well done Harry!

Miss Hendy

I have been working from home this week, but when I haven’t been sat at my computer, I have made a roast dinner. I also went on a socially distanced walk with Mrs Mahood and saw a very big fish! I also completed painting my new television unit!

Miss McPartlin

Miss McPartlin has been busy working in school with Katie and working from home, making lots of lovely resources for us to use in future weeks!

Mrs Webb

Mrs Webb has had her half-term holiday this week. She has done lots of relaxing and has also bought some ornaments for her garden. Can you spot them?

Mrs Mahood

Mrs Mahood has also had her half-term holiday this week. She has been on lots of walks with her dog Barney and has even gone to the beach this week. As well, she has seen lots of wildlife whilst out and about. Can you name some of them?

What a fab two weeks everyone has had!

Stay Safe Everyone!
