My Communication 

9G talked about what they did at the weekend. There was lots of watching telly, visiting family, watching television and eating. 9G then used their writing skills and with help from staff wrote full sentences about their weekend. 

 

The class this week read the story of A Magical Muddle. 

Miss Brophy handed out some work sheet, and in little groups, 9G had to recall part of the story and discussed what was being either said or through from a picture .

Good remembering 9G. 

 

9G have also this week been practising their hand writing. Some learners had to write what they saw in a picture from our story book, “A Magical Muddle”. The others filled in a work booklet of following shapes to help them with their fine motor skills. 

 

 

My Thinking and Problem Solving.

We have been looking at number recognition. The class went into different groups and looked at different values. 

We also looked at numicon, recognising the value of ten and adding the numicons together.

9G had a look at different money values. They played bingo looked at 1p through to £20. Well done to Ty, Lily and Reece for winner the game.

 

My Creativity 

Mrs Mahood showed 9G how to make a witches hat. Before making their hats, 9G participated in a music regulation where they either had to stretch a rubber band, blow bubbles and used a paint brush on their arm, to help them get ready for learning. The class then  followed step by step instructions and made small witches hats and decorated them in stars. 

 

My Community

9G spoke about starting our swimming lessons at Brinscall pool. Their were a few worried pupils in class, but after chatting about how staff will keep everyone safe , they were a lot happier. 9G looked at a PowerPoint on keeping themselves safe when going swimming.

 

On Thursday afternoon, half of the class went to Brinscall swimming baths with Mr Murphy and Miss Patterson. All of them went into the water and did amazing going under the water picking up the rings.
