Sounds like everyone had a good rest over half term.
It was great hearing what everyone had been up to. There’s been lots of visits to Blackpool, visiting families, trick or treating and watching football.
With the information 9G gave , the class then had to practise their hand writing skills and they wrote five full sentences for the activities they had done during the October holidays.
The class then used their ICT skills and transferred their sentences onto book creator on their iPads. The class then used Google to find photos to input into their book to match their holiday activities.
Our Thinking and problem solving involved lots of adding and subtraction work which everyone worked very hard on as some found it quite tricky but they persevered.
For Diwali, Mrs Mahood created a colourful elephant. The class followed step by step instructions and they they all did fantastic listening.
Also for Diwali, we made coconut squares with Miss Brophy. The class was spilt into two groups. They did lots of following recipes, measuring ingredients and mixing.
9G took the squares home. Hope you enjoy.
In PE we practised our throwing and catching skills with the beanbags, they all did exceptionally well.
To finish off the week, the class were lucky enough to take Coco for a walk around the field. The pupils took turns in holding the lead.
It has been a busy first week and we hope you all enjoy the weekend
