What a busy first week back everyone in 11R had! We carried on with our project in the Polytunnel. The beans we have grown in class were planted into the beds. In small pots we planted sunflowers, carrots and chard. The beds where our potatoes are already doing well were weeded and watered.
There was more gardening at the walled garden at Worden park. We had a tour of the garden and learned more about the history of it. We learned how to dig up plants to split and replant them. When we looked at the plants we had planted on our last visit we couldn’t believe how much they had grown!
Finally on Friday we had a very interesting talk with a lovely visitor who taught us about how she and her family celebrate the festival of ‘Passover’. We tried some of the traditional bread that was eaten and other traditions that are followed at this time.
