The week started with 11R using their culinary skills to make make Chilli Con Carne. We talked about food hygiene and which colour chopping boards should be used for particular foods. Then we chopped, fried and simmered to produce our meal which we had made more healthy by adding extra vegetables. At lunch time we served up the result. Unfortunately it was not a hit with the pupils but staff thought it was very tasty! 
In Science we continued looking at ‘forces’ this week it was  air resistance. We made parachutes and tested them to see how long it took them to fall when we made changes to them.


As part of Rainbow Week we looked at different types of relationships and had some interesting discussions on gender stereotypes. Everyone helped to paint a rainbow flag and did a super job. We took the flag out to join the rest of the school in a parade around the school field.

At the end of the week we made some lovely Fathers Day cards. We were so proud of how everyone took care to create their card complete with a secret message inside. We really hoped you all liked them and had a great day.
