Welcome back 10R! And what a brilliant first weeks it's been! This week we've been getting to know each other and easing back into the routine after the summer holidays. We've talked about all the exciting things we did over the summer and what we were looking forward to now we're back in school and in year 10.

The learners have been getting familiar with the new apps on their iPads for their Maths and English lessons, as well as doing some self-portraits in art and making some truly fabulous Malteasers mazes with each other. We also had a friendly game of rounders and everyone has been hard at work with some practice assessments. All in all it's been a busy first week back and the whole class team are excited for the year to come!

Some notices for the year - 

  • PE will be on a Wednesday afternoon at All Seasons Leisure Centre in Chorley and we ask that you send your children into school in sports kits; not PE kits, just something that they will feel comfortable exercising in.
  • We will be going on community visits into Chorley on Friday mornings e.g. the shops, cafes, the park, which is part of their accreditation. Please could all parents/guardians fill the forms in on Edulink asap.
  • Snack will be £1 a week for those who would like it.
  • Home/School diaries have been issued out this week.
  • Our residential to Calvert Trust will be 21st-25th November 2022, with more information to follow closer to the time.
  • If anyone is unable to access Edulink, please let Mrs Powell know.
