10R have had a jam packed friendship week this week!

On Monday we went swimming, where we all supported each other and, at the end of the lesson, had a bit of fun swim time where we got to play a splash each other. On Tuesday we started our new topic in maths of time and in the afternoon we looked at our ASDAN unit of personal safety in the home and completed posters and sorting activities for that.

On Wednesday and Thursday we looked at the topic of anti-bullying for friendship week and at the idea of 'Reaching Out' if you need help. We talked about what bullying is and why people might be bullies. We then looked at different scenarios in small groups and talked through what you should try to do if you yourself are being bullied or if you see it happening to someone else. We also did a little art project where we all drew around our hands and made them into a wreath, symbolically showing how we can reach out to each other if we need help.

On Friday, we took part in Children in Need activities, talking about when and why CiN was founded and doing a fun bingo in class. We also talked about going on our residential next week and we all can't wait!

Hope everyone has a lovely weekend and gets lots of rest for a very busy week next week!
