Today in 10R we were looking at how to stay safe online by keeping ourselves anonymous when we are on the internet. Yesterday we learnt what it meant to copy, modify and alter photos online and how this can affect us, especially when it is done to our photos without our consent. We learnt never to add someone on social media unless you know them and to make sure people didn't post pictures of you without your consent.

Today, we looked at modifying and altering pictures ourselves, using pictures taken on our iPads and some clip art to add different features to each others faces, like hats, glasses and facial hair. We mixed and matched photos with each other and altered our photos so they didn't look like us anymore. Then we talked about how this can sometimes be funny, but sometimes people alter pictures online to make fun of or hurt others and that's why we need to be careful when we post anything online.

Everyone did some great work and knows how to be much safer online!
