On Wednesday some of our Willow class pupils attended a Chorley Sports Partnership bowling competition at Escape in Chorley.
We competed against five other schools, having lots of fun taking turns and cheering on our friends.
Once all the schools had finished there was an awards ceremony, lots of medals and certificates were given out for different categories, both group and solo.
Joshua won the solo category for the highest scorer of the morning with a massive score of 105, well done Joshua! This also gained him a position in the 100 club, Joshua received a medal and certificate for this and we were all very very proud of him.
Then came the group medals and we were thrilled and amazed to come in 1st place! Everyone received a gold medal and a certificate to take home. We also received a plaque to take back to school which has taken pride of place in our school display cabinet. We have now made to into the finals at Hollywood Bowl in the New Year. Well done everyone!
Even though we came first in the competition, our main aim for the morning was to have fun - we all kept reminding ourselves that it’s the taking part that counts, not the winning, which is always a great attitude to have.
All our children were very well behaved and represented the school brilliantly, we are extremely proud of them all.
