10P have had a very busy couple of weeks. On Monday we started of our week like usual, completing our weekend news piece of work and discussing it with each other. In the afternoon we went to ASDA for our usual food tech/breakfast shopping and worked on our technology skills by using the self-checkout machines.
On Tuesdays, we have been continuing with maths, learning about the different number bonds to 10 and working out one more and one less working within 10. In the afternoon, we have a food tech, where we’ve made smoothies and cous cous salad. We have been continuing with maths on Wednesday mornings.
On Wednesday afternoon we had an English lesson, where we began to look at letters. Mrs Cobham read a book called ‘Dear Greenpeace’, where a little girl wrote letters to Greenpeace all about whales. Mrs Powell said we were going to write our own letters to Greenpeace about gorillas, so we started our research, finding out some interesting facts about them.
On Friday morning, we completed our gym diaries and did some phonics. We also looked at Black History Month, discussing why it was important that we remember what black people have been through throughout history so that we can learn from the past and do better in the future.
In the afternoon we had golden time, where we all got some games out and we played really nicely with our friends. A big well done to last weeks star of the week Amelia and to this week’s star of week, Sophia!
We hope everyone has a lovely weekend; we’ll see you on Monday for our last week before half-term!
Mrs Powell, Mrs Price, Mrs Cobham, Miss Carter and Miss Wilkins.
