The last 2 weeks have been busy for us all in 8P!
There have been lots of Christmas themed activities going on, including; Christmas colouring, Christmas performance practice, Christmas crafts and sensory Christmas trays. Writing some Christmas cards and posting them in our class post box for our friends.
We have completed guided reading, as well as some of the children completing some reading assessments. We have read through some sensory stories and some touch and feel books. The children have wrote some amazing poems, thinking of the special words themselves. These have then been added onto book creator on their iPads, which the children did superbly with, adding the text and photos and changing the colour of the backgrounds and text with minimal help!
We have worked on our numbers in class, using various ways to look at numbers. Addition, subtraction, more than and less than. Doing some 1-1 maths work with Mrs Pope alongside the other number activities.
In cooking over the last 2 weeks we have made home made Yorkshire puddings and we have made some of our very own cookie dough, ready to make cookies with next week. The Yorkshire pudding went down a treat and all of the children in class absolutely loved them, and even enjoyed them enough to take an extra one home to eat. Yum, yum!
8P are super excited for another fun filled, Christmas themed week next week, and we cannot wait for you to see what we get up to!!
