This week in picture news 11A looked at the wildfires in America, specifically in Los Angeles.

We watched a news reel and some interviews with people who had been evacuated from their homes. We then discussed about what has caused the fires, what help was in place for both the people and the animals and what services were being used to help tackle the fires. 

We thought about how we would feel if this happened to us, we had words like sad, angry, concerned and scared. What things would we take with us if we were asked to evacuate. We then wrote our thoughts about the fires down and we took turns to deliver our work to each other using the screen in class.
